Brick Lane Art Auction 2014

This year, I have donated a piece of  work to the Brick Lane Art Auction, a charity auction which takes place on Thursday July 24th 2014 in the upstairs room of Beach Blanket Babylon in Bethnal Green, East London.

The Auction includes a rich mix of eclectic artists and designers including Vivienne Westwood, Jamie Reid and Gavin Turk who have all generously donated their work. It will showcase an expansive and unique selection of works (many original) 'from the bleeding edge of contemporary global counter culture'.

This is the second year the Brick Lane Art Auction has taken place in conjunction with the Brick Lane Village Fete (at St Matthews Church on Sunday July 27th). The event will raise awareness of Multiple Sclerosis and seeks to raise money to help Chris McMuck, Shoreditch club promoting legend and entrepreneur, who suffers from the disease. Money raised from the event will go towards supporting Chris in engaging with a programme of holistic and alternative healthcare practices. It will also benefit Ability Bow Gym, a local, wheelchair-accessible gym of which I am a member.

This is the painting I have donated: 'Summer Painting II'.

All proceeds go to a worthy cause so please support this fundraiser. Doors open at 6pm. The event continues until 11.30pm with the auction taking place at 8pm.

It's a silent auction and all money raised will go to charity. Last year's event was a resounding success and I am sure this year's will be too if we all get out there to support it.
